• Motion control: Yaskawa NS 600 Indexing Servo Drives using Eason Model 1000 & 1100 as an operator interface.
  
  
• Quill Feed: 12 Station Rotary Transfer line controlling 12 quill feed units. Modes of operation:  drilling, peck drilling, hard tapping, reaming, facing, and chip breaking.  Software includes provision for tool and work station (chuck) offsets.  Full diagnostics including detailed fault screens and complete I/O online status screens.  Complete operator interface for simplified programming and online monitoring.
  
  
• High performance linear motor applications: PMAC motion controllers with Yaskawa linear motors. Applications: In-mold labeling machines, wire routing machines, and wire terminal insertion machines.
  
  
• Flying Sheet Steel Shear: 100 HP, ABB ACS 600 AC Drive with Delta Tau PMAC. Similar position control applications utilizing the ABB ACS 601 AC Drive and Delta Tau PMAC.
  
  
• Command and Data Manipulation: ASCII Basic Module designed for the GE 9030 and Delta Tau PMAC. Transfer of registers from the 9030 to PMAC such as commanded position, speed, accel/decel, etc, or program to run, jog, etc.  Transfer of data to GE registers from PMAC, such as position, velocity, and PMAC status.
  
  
• Dual head vertical grinder: Coordinated system controller for simultaneous IO + OD grinding.  Configuration consisted of 2-2 axis grinding heads each within two independent coordinate systems and a table drive with operator interface.
  
  
• Brown & Sharpe single spindle screw machines: CNC conversion of cam operated Brown and Sharpe single spindle screw machines utilizing a modified Delta Tau PMAC-NC for Windows controller.  The CNC conversion allows speed and ease of set-up and provides single point threading and contouring.
  
  
• Three-strand continuous caster: Retrofit using ABB DTC AC drives in a coordinated fiber optically networked lead-follower mode.
  
  
• 60 Roll Stand induction heating machine - coordinated drive system using 60 ABB ACS DTC drives, ABB induction motors (with encoders), modbus interface to a Modicon controller.  Drive was configured in a fiber optic ring network utilizing ABB's high speed DDCS network.
